pay-as-you-go roaming

Prepaid plans already come with roaming enabled. Have you ever tried manually selecting a mobile network in your device's settings?

Thanks for the reply. I have not tried to select a roaming network yet - I will look into that! Thank you for the suggestion. 

Unfortunately, we tried each network available (o2-de, vodafone, and Telekom Deutschland) and none of them worked. 

What else can we try? 

The eSIM was downloaded to the phone in North America and activated upon arriving in Germany.

Have you used this eSIM in Portugal?

If not, to be activated from other countries (in Roaming) you will need to contact customer support through MEO Helplines >

Thank you for your response. I was unaware the card would not activate unless in Portugal first. Seeing as there is no service, I wonder if we will be able to call MEO helpline from the phone or will need another?
