i know all about the smart wifi set-up, and the advantages of 5Ghz, and setting up 2 different bands, etc. All i want to know is, how do i disable the 5GHz wifi on my Meo fibre gateway router. that’s all. No-one seems to actually answer the question, just a blurb about advantages, smart wifi, blah blah.
really, i just want to disable 5 Ghz wifi. please help

If you want to force a device onto the 2.4Ghz band, you can do so using the MEO Smart WiFi app.
However, if you really want to deactivate 5Ghz, you'll have to contact Technical Support 16209 and ask them to deactivate “Smart WiFi” so that you can deactivate the 5Ghz network via the router's GUI 192.168.1.254
