Not in Portugal, no Meo Account

So I am no longer in Portugal and my Account has been cancelled. I paid the termination fee and am now back in the UK. Meo are still sending me Bills with penalties for paying late. I have no account anymore and therefore cannot contact via the My Services section and I am certainly not ringing them from the UK.

 

How do I contact them to get them to stop sending me Invoices that I shouldn’t be receiving as all services were cancelled 3 Months ago.

Hi Ana

 

Not willing to spend my own money ringing them. Just been on the chat function and the agent kept telling me to ring 16200. When trying to explain that I am in the UK and do not have a Portuguese phone he just kept saying I needed to ring 16200.

 

Just advised him that I won’t be paying the Invoice that they sent and will now block any further communication from them.

You can get to a human if you follow the right prompts.

That’s a new feature.

But the human assistant is correct, the only way would be to contact 16200 (in your case +351 961 001 620) or create a request in myMEO, but you no longer have access.

You can also try talking to a human assistant again and explain the situation well.

He had no interest in helping me and just kept saying the only people that would look at it was 16200.

Not going to waste any more of my time with them. If I do ever return to Portugal they have also lost any future Business from me.

I am very sorry for the situation.

Unfortunately, There must have been a problem and the contract was not cancelled correctly, and we need to deal with urgently this with MEO. But I warn you that you should not simply block and ignore these invoice and charges, as this can have consequences. 

Since you cannot contact MEO, due to the high costs, the only solution, and suggestion, is to contact and complain via Customer Ombudsman MEO

I hope you can solve everything and maintain your preference and trust in MEO
