I have internet movel from MEO, MI-FI. In my most recent invoice I have been charged €5,97 for some Conteúdos - Digitais especiais. After some research I found that on 14 August we had apparently subscribed to ESR TV, €1,99 por semana! We have not ordered anything, I have not received any order confirmation, nothing. It is some sports channel so my son may have gone on their website but he would not order anything without my permission - and how could he, surely you need some password or something to order it on my invoice???? We use the mi-fi only while in Portugal so we have not even had the mi-fi on since 19 August but I am being charged until today !

I have found how to cancel the service and how to stop this from happening but it is really very wrong that this can happen without any one us even knowing we have ordered something!

Can I complain somewhere?

You must have clicked on an ad by accident, and you should have received an SMS confirming your subscription.

Possibly, but we don't have a MEO mobile phone so I don't know how we could get any notification as they don't send anything to foreign numbers so they should be sending an email notification. Not very happy. I have cancelled the service and blocked anyone from doing this by accident again. It should not be possible in mi-fi - do people know that anyone using their mi-fi can do this, by accident, too? I think people will use this like a wi-fi, you cannot buy anything and charge it to the fixed internet connection!

@JMAK

The subscriptions for digital content are associated with a mobile phone number and not with the fixed network.

Yes I know, we do not have a mobile phone with MEO, we only have the mobile WiFi router
