Very unreasonable behavior

I have to say something as I am very annoyed at my treatment by MEO. I haven’t been able to get to my house in Portugal for 2 years Last year

.I spent at least 4/5 months trying to cancel my contract with MEO as it wasn’t being used and finally had to ask my solicitor to cancel it for me as all I got was a runaround on the phone and mostly getting cut off. I have now received an invoice at least 9 months after I cancelled for not returning the equipment and the bill is 248 euros. I have spoken to their debt collectors and explained that I lost my partner last year after months of illness and having health issues myself have not been able to travel to Portugal to give the equipment back. Would just like to warn anybody thinking of using Meo to think again as my experience in anything I have done has been very poor.
