Disable MEO WIFI

Hello, everyone!

 

I am another user that unfortunately don’t speak Portuguese. Hence, I write in English, as well as I will use a translator to translate this text into Portuguese below. I want to disable the MEO WIFI on my GR241AG Fiber Gateway 4x4 router (https://conteudos.meo.pt/meo/Documentos/Manuais/Routers/FiberGateway-Manual-Utilizador-V4.0-3.PDF). There is another post on this topic (see below). However, the solution seems to be for an older router as my user interface is very different.

I was told my the technician that installed my router that I could disable the MEO WIFI in the admin panel. However, I find nowhere where that can be done.

Can anyone help me here?

Há outro post sobre este tópico (ver abaixo). No entanto, a solução parece ser para um router mais antigo, uma vez que a minha interface de utilizador é muito diferente.

Foi-me dito ao meu técnico que instalou o meu router que podia desactivar o MEO WIFI no painel de administração. No entanto, não encontro em lado nenhum onde isso possa ser feito.

Alguém me pode ajudar aqui?

Turn this option bellow to off! in both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. and no more wifi

 

if you are talking about the MEO wifi public wifi from the comunity, this is only with the customer support 16209, or filling up a request in your custumer area.

I only want to disable the hotspot named “MEO WIFI”, and not my own WiFi (MEO-******). There seems to be no option for that in the GUI.

BTW FYI The MEO wifi from the community does not have any impact on your internet or speed. It has it own resourses. Since those features are only on Fiber services. Also asking to remove the MEO wifi (community) with take off your access when you need to access that network (when you are outdoor).

@OmicronPersei8, you wrote that it’s possible to contact support in my customer area section (at meo.pt). I guess it’s due to me not knowing the language that I can’t see how. Can you please provide me a link for contacting customer support as well?

I’ve found the pages:

However, I can’t see that those pages take me to any form, or email address. I only see the phone number to call.
